I’m Steve, a Midlands-based documentary photographer focused on real emotion, honest stories, and beautifully imperfect moments.

I didn’t come into photography through art school or formal training. I came from construction sites, long days, real people, and a place where I learned to pay attention to the world. That background shaped the way I shoot: calm under pressure, attentive to detail, and always looking for the truth within a scene.

What inspires me is human expression: a subtle gesture that reveals emotion, or a small moment that unfolds before anyone realises.

My style is rooted in black and white, movement, atmosphere, and storytelling, but I also embrace colour when it enhances the cinematic feel of a moment. Whether monochrome or colour the goal is the same: images that feel timeless and alive.

I work throughout London, Birmingham, and the UK, creating documentary wedding stories, portraits, events, and emotionally driven visual narratives.
